Holiday Baking? Here's our favourite staple ingredients & where to get them.
High quality ingredients we love. If you're planning out some gluten-free baking over the holidays, but don't know where to find some of the ingredients, we're sharing all our favourite brands for paleo home baking. FLOURS: 1) Almond flour - Kirkland brand: here at the bakery, we love Costco almond flour. Every few months, I search for newer/better brands, but Costco always wins out. Pillowy Homemade Marshmallows
Have you ever made your own marshmallows at home? They're so pillowy and soft, you'll never want to go back to the store bought ones - And extra bonus, these marshmallows are made from cleaner ingredients, and will go amazing with your homemade paleo hot cocoa ( get the recipe here )!! Easy Fruit Jam
This is our easy berry jam that we use for our amazing pistachio thumbprint cookies. Only 3 ingredients, and so super easy, fresh & delicious! Tweak the syrup amount if you want it more or less sweet. When I make it for myself (to top my waffles - get my waffle recipe here ), I totally leave it out. Homemade Paleo Waffles (vegan option)
While my kids love pancakes ( you can try our pancake recipe here ), I've always been a sucker for French toast or waffles. So I adapted our easy gluten free, grain free, vegan pancake recipe to work in our waffle iron and make super tasty breakfast waffles. This one is a little trickier and has a few extra ingredients than the pancake recipe, but its totally worth it! Easy Homemade Coconut Whipped Cream
Here’s a delicious, yet simple plant-based recipe for whipped cream. Over here we add it to EVERYTHING from hot chocolates & lattes, to pies & ice cream, and pancakes & waffles . If you prefer it less sweet, you can leave out the syrup (or add a bit more, if you like it sweeter!).
