Almond Butter Bars | Gluten-Free, Vegan, No-Bake
These no-bake chocolate almond butter bars are incredibly easy to make and seriously satisfying. Creamy, chocolatey, and perfectly sweet, they hit all the right notes for an afternoon pick-me-up — made with wholesome ingredients and naturally sweetened. Want a higher-protein version? Simply swap out up to ½ cup of the almond flour for your favourite protein powder. That’s my usual go-to — but they’re delicious either way! Base Layer 1 cup almond flour* ½ cup (128g) almond but

Chickpea Blondies from the Today Show 💫😍
I’ve been wanting to try these blondies since I first saw Samah Dada’s recipe - she even got to share her recipe on the Today Show! And says it’s her most popular dessert recipe, and it’s made with CHICKPEAS. Chickpea blondies were really having their moment a year or so ago (remember the Alix Earle viral chickpea blondies?) and I finally made some today, in between batches of naan, and date squares… They’re gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, egg-free, refined-sugar-free, a

Shawarma Tofu Rice Bowl
Another delicious (and easy!) tofu recipe, as I try to incorporate more tofu into my life for 2026. Why? At the risk of TMI - tofu has been identified in some health studies as having a positive impact on peri-menopausal symptoms. This nourish bowl was inspired by this video https://youtu.be/MKg_ofp1NOs?si=5X1A-r_o8MXPLUHr by Healthy Foodie PH on YouTube, but I simplified it even more so you can use pre-cooked rice, (since I had a stash in my freezer). So the only real cooki

Healthy Nuts & Seeds Granola | Oat-Free, Grain-Free, Vegan
I made myself a new batch of granola yesterday in between sourdough batches (luckily it’s super quick to put together and fits in my air oven so it doesn’t take up one of my big bakery ovens). This is my current “granola” obsession that I like to throw on my n’oat oatmeal , chia pudding or chocolate tofu pudding for a crunch factor. I really like the hearty-ness the almond butter adds, and all the chia seeds too. Feel free to double or triple this batch, and make 2 trays wo

4 Ingredient Single Serve Protein Cookie
I was feeling like an afternoon snack, and decided to try bake my 4-ingredient protein cookie dough balls into a protein cookie - remember those? I love them as a mix-in in a ninja creami pint. Simply combine, flatten, and bake. And enjoy for your afternoon pick me up! Each one packs about 18-22g of protein. Ingredients 2 tbsp almond butter * 2 tbsp protein powder ** 1 tbsp liquid sweetener of choice *** 1 tbsp chocolate chips of choice **** Instructions Preheat oven to 350°F

Turtle Ice Cream Bark
Let’s make ice cream bark a thing! Like the viral TikTok yogurt bark, but made with ice cream & fun toppings - this one is “turtles” inspired with our caramel-y 2-ingredient date-sweetened ice cream, crispy chocolate, crunchy pecans, and our no cook caramel. You could even use a protein ice cream to boost the protein content (for that, see protein option in ice cream recipe/video. There’s also a lower sugar version and a chocolate option too). Here’s what I used for this bark

Chocolate Tofu Pudding ✨🍫
This pudding is rich & creamy, high in protein, and secretly healthy - you could eat it for this breakfast (I am!!) And it’s made with tofu! All you do is blend tofu with maple syrup, cocoa powder , vanilla, and salt. And you’ve just made a decadent chocolate pudding that’s super simple, sneaky good and secretly packed with plant-based protein. Ingredients 1 block (10.8 oz) silken tofu ¼–⅓ cup cocoa powder* ¼–⅓ cup maple syrup* (or sub your fav sugar-free syrup for a low carb

Frosted Avocado Brownies | V & GF
If you have one avocado you need these small batch avocado brownies in your life - we put half the avocado in the batter which ends up so rich and decadent and delicious. I could eat it by the spoonful and there’s no ingredient in it that says you can’t (I didn’t lick all the spatulas clean…). Then after it’s cooled, we use the other half of the avocado to make avocado frosting, which is essentially chocolate avocado mousse on top of your fudgy, avocado brownies. And they’re

Gluten-Free Chicken Parmesan
With the crazy cold snap we’ve had here recently I was craving a comforting, cozy meal, and this chicken parmesan hit the spot!! I love the addition of the lemon zest to the breadcrumbs, and it comes through so nicely in the finished dish. For a dairy-free or vegan version, swap in your fav df/v cheese, flax eggs, and some sliced tofu!! Ingredients 2 large chicken breasts 1 cup gluten free bread crumbs (I made my own, pulsing toasted homemade sourdough in a food processor) 1/

🤍❄️Snow-Day Date Hot Chocolate
There’s nothing better than coming inside from the snow, cheeks cold and hands frozen, and wrapping them around a warm mug of hot chocolate ☕️❄️ With the winter storm hitting so many of us, this feels like the perfect moment for a cozy, homemade treat—made with simple ingredients and naturally sweetened with dates. Ingredients 1 ½ tbsp cacao powder 2-3 soft medjool dates, pitted (use 2 for lightly sweet, or 3 for café-sweet) pinch of sea salt ½ tsp vanilla 1 cup unsweetened a

Shawarma-Spiced Shaved-Tofu Wrap
I have been playing with tofu recipes over here for Veganuary. It has been fun and quite delicious!! I have 100% LOVED the viral shaved/shredded tofu methods. But not so much the tempeh (please send me your fav way to prepare tempeh if you have one! I'm still open to trying new ways to prepare it). And am really looking forward to silken tofu dessert test recipes in the next days - fluffy vegan chocolate mousse?!? My husband was trying the viral doner kebab techinique using s

🤍💖 3-Ingredient Raspberry Truffles
These vibrant little truffles are fresh, fruity, and the perfect no-bake treat 💕 A fun break from classic chocolate truffles! The filling is made with freeze-dried raspberry powder, coconut milk, and vegan white chocolate, then dipped in melted white chocolate and finished with a pretty drizzle + a sprinkle of raspberry powder. Tip: white chocolate is thinner, so I usually do a second dip for that perfect coating ✨ This batch makes 8 one-tablespoon truffles, but feel free to

Healthier Twix/Millionaire Bars
They are essentially the same thing - just fully dip it and it’s a Twix. Either way it’ a three-layered cookie bar with a shortbread cookie base (almond coconut in our case!), a caramel filling (almond butter date caramel!), and chocolate topping. - with Twix" typically being the American term and "Millionaire's Shortbread" being the traditional UK term for the same dessert. Chocolate Speckled Protein Ice Cream (NO PUDDING MIX!) | DF Ninja Creami
Instead of adding whole chocolate chips to your ice cream recipe, try this hack!! If you melt your chocolate chips, and add them half-way through the mixing process, it will freeze into little flecks like you would get in a store bought mint chip ice cream. Perfectly spread throughout your dairy-free/vegan protein vanilla ice cream, with some snappy chocolate bits in each bite. Enjoy!! Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Cups 🍪🥜🍫
We tried Billie Eilish’s ooey gooey PB cookie recipe this week, and they were super delicious, but we had leftover cookie dough (we only baked half the recipe) so my daughter suggested we make Reese peanut butter cups but with the cookie dough ➡️ cookie cups. Super easy no bake recipe, kid friendly, and ended up tasting very much like Reese PB cups (but with the extra choc chips from the cookie dough, and who ever said no to extra choc chips?!?). What you need: 1) some cooki
