Drink lemon water? Try this! 💦🍋



Use the WHOLE lemon for added limonene!!


💦🍋 Lots of people already drink lemon water for digestion, etc, but this is next level. But using the whole lemon, you get the added benefits of limonene (an essential oil found in the peel) that has been shown in studies to have an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-stress effect, been shown to help reduce mood disorders, and may help reduce triglycerides and lower blood sugar levels. 🩺


The combo of EVOO & lemon is known to help cleanse the liver, kidneys, spleen, gallbladder, clearing away stored bile, cholesterol, and gallstones.


🍋SINGLE SERVING Ingredients:

1/4 lemon, peel on (wash it well, since you’re using the entire thing)

1 cup filtered water, room temp

1/2 tbsp good quality extra virgin olive oil

*Optional (if you find you don’t like the taste, try adding a bit of sweetener of your choice, or a few drops of vanilla)


💛Blend all ingredients until smooth & oil is emulsified. Strain through fine mesh sieve or cheese cloth to remove chunks of lemon peel. Then drink (and hopefully enjoy!) I definitely prefer this at room temp/freshly made. But you can make a bigger batch, using the entire lemon in one go (see below for that batch size), and store the leftovers in an air tight container in the fridge to save you work/cleaning a blender for the next 3 days.

1 lemon, peel on, cut into quarters (wash it well, since you’re using the entire thing)

4 cups filtered water, room temp

2 tbsp good quality extra virgin olive oil
