2-Ingredient Watermelon Sorbet

šŸ‰šŸ˜…Don’t waste a mushy watermelon!

I dropped this melon, and while I was happy it didn’t crack open on the ground, it made inside a weird kind of mushy that none of us wanted to eat. So here is me trying to salvage it. And it worked out AMAZING!!

PS. It was also supposed to be yellow inside šŸ˜…šŸ’›šŸ˜¢

Ingredients:

  • Watermelon

  • Juice from 1 lime

  • Optional: Honey/maple syrup, to taste (but mine didn’t need it)

Instructions

1. Cut 1/2 a watermelon into chunks & freeze until solid, at least 4 hours or overnight

2. Let the frozen chunks sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes to slightly soften

3. Add the watermelon, maple syrup/honey & lime juice to a food processor or high-speed blender

4. Blend, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. At first it will look crumbly, then it will gradually become smooth, thick, & creamy

5. Enjoy immediately for a soft-serve consistency, or transfer to a freezer-safe container

6. Freeze for 20–40 minutes for a firmer, scoopable sorbet, or freeze fully and let sit for 10–15 minutes before scooping
