The side for the do-it-yourselfers, the adventurous bakers, and those that live a little to far away to make it to our bakery in person. This is where I post all the fun gluten-free dairy-free things I've been testing/making that aren't official BakeHouse recipes. Most of which we also share on our YouTube Channel, as well as our second instagram account, & TikTok. ✨🍫Brownie Baked Oats (+ an almond flour swap!!) #FallIntoShorts Day 12
Don’t like the texture of overnight oats? Try blended baked oats instead! They taste like a brownie! You simply combine everything in a blender, then bake it for a cozy, easy, chocolatey breakfast. And I’ll tell you a secret - I also tried it swapping out the oats for almond flour & I thought it was EVEN yummier!! It’s almost like eating cake for breakfast. Double Chocolate Baked Oats INGREDIENTS ►1/2 cup (52g) rolled oats or 52g oat flour** (see below for swap) ►2 tbsp cocoa

🍫🫐 Day 29 of Healthy Summer Treats | Blueberry Chocolate Bark
The viral combo of chocolate & blueberries, but easier than individually dipping each blueberry!! All you need is: 🫐 Fresh blueberries 🍫 Melted dark chocolate If you have a chocolate bar mold you can drizzle in some melted chocolate, then add your blueberries, and top with more chocolate, making sure each berry gets some chocolate so it holds together into bark. OR you can simply toss the berries with the chocolate, then spread in single layer on parchment. Pop in the fridg

🍓🤍🍫 Day 24 of Healthy Summer Treats | Strawberry Yogurt Tru Fru
Let’s make better for you (and WAY more affordable 😉👍🏻) Tru Fru strawberries!! They’re a refreshing and healthy summer snack you (and your kids) and going to love. You need: 🍓 fresh strawberries, washed & patted dry 🤍 yogurt of choice (plant, Greek, Skyr, etc.) 🍫 dark chocolate of choice How to: ► Dip strawberries in yogurt, one at a time ► Freeze for 10 minutes (this solidifies the yogurt enough for dipping WITHOUT freezing the strawberry. 🍫🫐 Day 20 of Healthy Summer Treats | Dark Choc Blueberries
Another fun summer-must-try! If you haven’t tried making the viral chocolate dipped blueberries from TikTok yet, you should. They may seem a bit tedious until you get the hang of dipping with a toothpick (especially if you decide to reuse the same toothpick like me!) but I got in “the zone” after the first couple and they’re super cute & delicious too. 🍫 TIP: Make sure to pick a chocolate you enjoy , since it’s just blueberries & your chocolate of choice. I dipped them and p

🍇🧪Day 16 of Healthy Summer Treats: TikTok Grapes with a Twist #SummerOnShorts
Today we’re making the viral frozen sour patch grapes from TikTok, but with a better-for-you twist!! After adding your lime juice, instead of sugar or Jello mix, we sprinkled our green grapes with lemonade electrolyte powder, then freeze & enjoy!! Super refreshing & perfect for replacing electrolytes on hot summer days. NOTE: I found the grapes were still a bit wet/sticky after freezing so you could totally add ANOTHER coat of electrolytes after freezing for an extra boost, b

🍫✨ Day 15 of Healthy Summer Treats: Frozen Protein S’mores #SummerOnShorts
These are SO UNDER-RATED, OMG! Don’t make these unless you’re prepared to eat the entire batch. 😂😅 Our homemade almond flour graham crackers are perfectly sweet & crunchy, paired with a snappy allulose-sweetened vegan dark chocolate layer, and a marshmallowy layer with added protein - these could be on repeat all summer long. 🍫✨ TIP: try to mix the Coco Whip as little as possible (just enough to get the protein powder mixed in) or it can deflate and get really runny. BUT e

Day 10 of Healthy Summer Treats: 🌈🥝🍕Rainbow Fruit Pizza #summeronshorts
This one is so pretty (and fun to make with kids!). It starts with a gluten-free, grain-free, vegan almond flour cookie pizza crust, topped with an easy no-bake liquid cheesecake “sauce” you make in a blender, finished with all your favourite fruits. Make it a fun rainbow, OR follow my kids’ creation and make it a copycat pizza using a jam and all their favourite fruits. You will need: 🍪 - cookie “pizza" crust” (recipe below) 🍮 - “pizza sauce”: liquid-cheesecake (recipe bel

Day 6 of Healthy Summer Treats: 🍌🥜🍫 Frozen Banana Snicker Bars #summeronshorts
Another no bake treat that went totally #viral on TikTok & instagram last summer, and has earned a place on permanent rotation in our house (one of my kids LOVES these). 🍌🥜🍫 You will need: -ripe bananas -nut/seed butter of choice -chocolate of choice -crushed/chopped nuts/seeds of choice These are fun as 1/4 banana pieces, so it’s more like a bar, but also fun if you cut them into coins, and make bite sized ones. However you slice it, top your pieces of banana with your fa

Quick & Easy "Dubai Pistachio Cups" - the cheat code ;)
The long/proper way is definitely amazing, but I'm all for making things easier & more accessible. No molds! No chopping or toasting. No phyllo or gluten! Only 3-Ingredients, and super easy & delicious. -Pulse equal parts pistachio butter & rice crispies* in a food processor (or simply mix in a bowl - I just had the food processor out & already dirty from making the pistachio butter). -Fill muffin liners with 1tbsp melted choc, add a scoop of filling, and top with 1 more tbsp

Layered Tiramisu Chia Seed Pudding | Overnight Breakfast Recipe
Do you love overnight oats, but are looking to mix it up? Or maybe you like the idea of overnight oats, but can’t eat oats… Then try this overnight chia pudding that tastes like dessert! It’s quick to assemble, and makes it easy to grab n go in the morning. I’m making this, planning ahead for an early start last Friday morning. I knew I had a long day ahead, with 12+ hours in my van (turned out to be 16!!), picking up restocks 4+ hours away, from 5 different gluten-free baker
