✨🍫Brownie Baked Oats (+ an almond flour swap!!) #FallIntoShorts Day 12

Don’t like the texture of overnight oats? Try blended baked oats instead! They taste like a brownie!

You simply combine everything in a blender, then bake it for a cozy, easy, chocolatey breakfast.

And I’ll tell you a secret - I also tried it swapping out the oats for almond flour & I thought it was EVEN yummier!! It’s almost like eating cake for breakfast.

Double Chocolate Baked Oats

INGREDIENTS

►1/2 cup (52g) rolled oats or 52g oat flour** (see below for swap)

►2 tbsp cocoa powder

►1/2 tsp baking powder

►pinch of salt

►1 egg

►1/2 ripe banana

►1/4 cup milk of choice (I used unsweetened cashew)

►1 tbsp sweetener of choice (maple syrup, coconut sugar, sugar substitute)

►1/2 tsp vanilla

►Chocolate chips of choice for topping

INSTRUCTIONS

-Blend together all your ingredients except the chocolate chips

-Pour into small oven-safe bowl or ramekin

-Top with chocolate chips

-Bake at 350F for 20-25min (less gives you gooey-er brownie oats, more gives you a cake-ier baked oats)

-Let cool a few minutes, add your toppings of choice (I added yogurt for more protein & choc shavings)

Dig in!!

**SWAP: we also made this swapping out the 1/2 cup oats for 1/2 cup almond flour to give a lower carb, oat-free version, and I actually liked it MORE. The texture is fluffier. It’s like eating chocolate cake for breakfast.
