Miraculous 1-Ingredient CHOCOLATE MOUSSE

I keep seeing these 1 or 2 ingredient chocolate recipes, and sometimes they fail, and sometimes they look delicious - It makes me think, do they really work? And are they any good? So we’re finally giving it a try.

Here’s how we’re doing it:

Ingredients:

150g dark choc (you want good tasting, high cocao content, good quality choc since this is the only flavour component - I used 70% allulose-sweetened-dark chocolate)

1/2c boiling water (not cold, as some recipe say - we want hot, to help the chocolate melt in the blender)

Steps:

-Add water and chocolate to your blender and blend on high for 2 minutes.

-At the end of 2 minutes, it should be smooth and creamy and bubbly, and already be starting to thicken

-Pour into one or two small bowls or ramekins, and enjoy immediately, or pop in the fridge to chill for 30+ minutes for a thicker set dessert (or just to enjoy cool, like a pudding).

I have to say, I’m impressed! It’s super easy & decadent. Super quick (2 minutes of  blending + 1 minute of prep/work), & started to thicken in the blender (so no overnight wait time, and a short-cut to the Heston Blumenthal method with an ice bath). You won’t believe it until you try it!!

Next, let’s try it with other liquids: coffee (mocha mousse), orange juice (chocolate orange mousse), etc.

EDIT: I just tried it with orange juice and chocolate, and it tastes like a Terry's chocolate orange! Yum! 🍫+🍊 https://youtube.com/shorts/cwayxYnbvTU?si=NLSkNqFA-EdBO3U6
