Gluten-Free Vegan Oreos/Hydrox Cookies
Makes approximately 16 sandwich cookies (32 wafers) Most gluten-free Oreo recipes are chocolate cookies in disguise. They're soft and crumbly & more like shortbread than a snappy Oreo. Sidebar/Bit of Trivia: Did you know that Oreo cookies were actually inspired by Hydrox cookies? Hydrox debuted in 1908, while Oreo followed in 1912 (by his brother!). Despite often being mistaken for a copycat brand today, Hydrox actually came first! To get a cookie that's closer to real Oreo t

They’re so quick & easy to stir together with your sourdough discard, and taste like a cross between an English muffin and a pancake. Homemade Twix Bars
For episode 3 of my Homemade Candy Bars series I’m remaking Twix bars with an almond-coconut shortbread cookie base, an almond butter-date caramel filling, and a dark chocolate coating (from chocolate that my kids & I painstakingly made from scratch from cocao beans - lol, don’t do that! Just use your fav choc chips). Love twix? Feel free to double this batch & make it in an 8x8 pan instead. Don’t want to dip ‘em? Or want to save money on chocolate (it’s SOOO expensive now!!)

Rhubarb Crumble | GF DF V
My plan for this crumble was to swap out the typical strawberry pairing, with honey crisp apples that balance the tart rhubarb perfectly. But I sent one of my 3 honey crisp apples to school with my daughter this morning - oops!! So I’m making an Apple-Berry-Rhubarb version instead. Rhubarb pairs really well with almost any fruit (peaches, pears, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, apples, etc) so choose your fav, or a mix of them! Then we top it off with a mountain of but

🥣 Cinnamon Toast Crunch: Homemade GF/DF Cereal Episode 3
As a kid my parents would only let us kids get sugary cereals as a “treat” when we were on vacation. And Cinnamon Toast Crunch was always my pick!! Sidebar: Toaster Strudels & Poptarts fell into that category too (only on our road trips) - so I’ll have to make a future series to make some of those yummy pastries but gf/df too! But back to my crunchy homemade cinnamon squares - this one took me three attempts to get it perfect… The first batch nailed the taste, but got instant

I am interrupting my lemon series to bring you something chocolately, with these cookie dough layered brownies. Pringle Toffee Crunch/Bark/Christmas Crack
I don’t know who needs to hear this but TODAY is 250 days until Christmas. Starting today I’m posting a Christmas recipe every 50 days to count down to Christmas. So here we are, I thought it would be fun to riff on the chocolate Pringle hack that is going viral right now, and make pringle xmas crack. Except, Pringles are NOT gluten-free, so we’re using “No Name” brand Pringles-style chips instead. Spread a can of chips on a lined baking sheet, slightly crunch them down, top
